Women, mark your calendars for the Women’s Breakfast in the Warren Conrad Christian Center on Saturday, February 27th. This is our first event following the women’s retreat, and we want to keep the momentum going! Watch the bulletin for more details. Hope you will come and bring a friend!

BASS—Church Workers Convention -Thurs-Sat, 4th-6th, in Castro Valley
There are literally scores of different workshops and classes for every ministry imaginable. For seminar/workshop titles, times, and directions contact Pastor Jim or see the info on the back table in the foyer.
New Evangelism Class starts March 7th
The E-Team is offering an evangelism related Adult Bible Fellowship class on Sunday mornings during the first worship service. The class will use Bill Hybels' book "Just Walk Across the Room: Simple Steps Pointing People to Faith.” Please sign up in the church foyer.
Prayer Evening—Sun, 7th, 6 PM
We begin with fellowship and refreshments at 6 PM. At 6:15 we divide into small groups for prayer and finish at approximately 7:20 PM. It is a powerful time together. There is much to pray about! Bring your list!
Scrapbooking Night—Fri, 12th, 6 PM
Want to make an amazing album to capture your photo memories? Then come to Scrapbooking night. For more info call Lisa 883-1128.
Father-Child Breakfast—Sat, 13th, 8 AM
Hey men! Bring your children to the Father-Child Breakfast on Saturday the 13th. The breakfast includes great food, fellowship, and inspiring testimonies. Breakfast is free. We’ll meet in the Warren Conrad Christian Center. After breakfast, everyone is invited to stick around for the “Free Throw Contest.” (See announcement below)
Free Throw Contest—Sat, 13th, 10 AM
Do you like basketball? Then come be part of the “Free Throw Contest” in the gym on Saturday, March 13th. It’s open to men and women, boys and girls. Registration starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 10:30 AM when the contest begins. The age categories are 1st-4th grade, 5th-8th grade, and 9th-adult. There will be two prizes per category. Entry fee is $2 to help defray the cost of prizes. You must wear tennis shoes to compete.
Daylight Savings time begins—Sun, 14th 2 AM
On Saturday March 13th you are encouraged to turn your clocks ahead one hour in preparation for Daylight Savings time which begins Sunday, March 14th at 2 AM. It will help you not be late to church!
Chili Cook-off—Sun, 14th, 12 noon
Come be part of the 7th Annual Chili Cook-off in the Warren Conrad Christian Center! Enter to win in one of three categories: hottest, tastiest or most original. Cost is $5 to enter. Bring your chili (preferably in a crock-pot) by 11:30 AM. Bring the family as well; lunch is $5 for adults and $3 for kids 10 and under. Lunch will consist of chili, rice, salad, rolls and dessert. Valley Senior’s Fellowship Lunch—Thur, 18th
February’s gathering was a great time as we celebrated many birthdays including Charlotte’s 90th! This month we’ll have another great lunch and time of singing and fellowship! Come to the Warren Conrad Christian Center on Thursday, March 18th and bring a friend! Festivities start at 11:30 AM!
Church Work Morning—Sat, 20th, 9 AM—noon
There are a few things we need to do to spruce up the church in time for Easter. Please come and help out. We’ll be washing windows, scrubbing floors, painting, fixing, and trimming. Refreshments are provided.
Living Last Supper—Sat, 27th, 6 PM
Every few years we bring back an encore performance of the Living Last Supper. This powerful Easter Drama depicts on stage in real life, the famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. Come watch as the characters in the human painting come to life one at a time and tell their story of meeting Jesus, and their horror about the fact that one of them will betray Him. This event provides a great opportunity to bring a friend.
Annual Budget/Election Meeting—Sun, 28th, 6 PM
If you are a member of Valley it is vital that you come to our Annual Budget and Election meeting in the Sanctuary. We will set the budget for the fiscal year, and elect church officers. We need you there!
Read Through the Old Testament—I just want to give a word of encouragement to all those who are reading through the Old Testament this year. I certainly have been blessed by the many who say they are participating. Keep up the great work, and reap the wonderful benefits of spending time in the Word!
